Privacy Policy

How Madhav Bal, trading as SilaiLink ("SilaiLink") collects, uses and protects personal data on silailink.com, the factory portal and the worker app. Written to meet India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

What we collect

What we do not do

• We do not sell personal data.
• We do not show a worker's Aadhaar number in any app or portal screen; it is used only in the compliance data the employer factory requests for statutory filing.
• We do not hold or move wages. Payments go from the factory to the worker's own account; we store the payment reference.
• We do not track location in the background. Attendance is recorded by scanning a code at the factory gate.

Who we share with

• The factory a worker has accepted work from sees that worker's name, code, attendance, work and payment records for its own jobs.
• A labour contractor sees the records of the crew he has registered.
• Service providers that run the Service: cloud hosting, database, SMS one-time passwords, email alerts, push notifications and, for factory subscriptions, our payment gateway. They process data only on our instructions.
• Authorities where the law requires.

Security

All traffic is encrypted (HTTPS). Access is limited by role; restricted floor logins cannot see identity or bank data. Passwords and PINs are stored as salted hashes. Sessions on shared consoles expire every night.

Retention

Employment records (attendance, work, wages) are kept for the period Indian labour law requires the employer to keep them. Account data is kept while the account is active and deleted or anonymised within 90 days of a verified deletion request, except where law requires longer retention.

Your rights

Cookies

We do not use advertising cookies. The portals keep a login token in your browser's storage so you stay signed in for the day.
